March & April

Ok, brace yourself for a very long post. I'm trying to catch up on our life! Each of these events needs it's own post (especially with the amount of pictures I take), but in case I don't ever get around to individually posting about them, I'll just give you this brief summary.

First off, little man is a walking machine now!

Ali's starred as the lead role in our school play of 'Much Ado About Nothing'. She played Beatrice, which was fun, because that's the exact same part I played when they did it 4 years ago! She rocked it:

 The whole cast

Yes, I'm still totally into photography, and I still take hundreds of pictures weekly. (:

I also enjoyed doing Ali's hair and make-up for the play! Pretty girl! (:

Great Job Ali! You rocked it, and definitely stole the spotlight(:

I am constantly out with friends, but this adventure was too fun to miss documenting. For a date we spray painted shirts, but got a little carried away. This was also a week before Miss Toquerville pageant. Turns out spray paint does NOT come off skin. Woops. After many desperate attempts, we tried gasoline, which seemed to do the trick. Good to know for next time! Haha

Brett participated in the pine wood derby, and scored 2nd and 3rd in a few of the heats! Exciting for him(:

I got to go to Prom, which was a blast!! Austin and I had so much fun! We also had a super fun group which definitely added to the enjoyment. For our day date we did a picnic, and a picture scavenger hunt, and then went to the dance. (We took hundreds of pictures, but I'll just post a few of the ones that we took right before the dance:))

And, then Miss Toquerville pageant that was earlier this month! It was a BLAST, and I loved getting to know all the girls! I won 1st Attendant, and was 100% satisfied. Now I get to ride the floats, but I don't have to *run* the pageant next year. Perfect. (:

I won the on-stage question, Miss photogenic, and Best dance production (the opening number).

AND, I graduated from WCC!! I'll probably go to highschool next year to finish off the last year, but I have LOVED doing WCC, and I'm going to miss my awesome friends and teachers. What an amazing time(:

And, a few more of Paul walking, and looking cute(:

Oh, and Brett ripped his toenail off!! Ack! Gross. Yes. He was helping my mom at the grocery store, and ran ahead to open the door, which got caught on his toenail, and ripped it right off. He tried to leave the toenail on for a while, but it eventually fell off.

Gross toe before the toenail came off...
And he taught himself how to do a front flip! Wahoo! (:
His toenail-less toe. Ouch! So glad that wasn't me.

I joined the track team at the High School, and I am loving it!! I don't have any pictures from track, but I did take some of my new shoes (with my crown from Miss Toquerville). They work us SO hard, but it's good exercise, and I love the girls. I run the 1600 (the mile), and at the last meet my time was 7:55. Not amazing, but that's 3 minutes faster then I ever thought I'd be able to run! (:

Oh, and Ali got a haircut! (:
So, that's the Doughty's life over the last month or 2. Hopefully I'll get better at posting, so I don't have to summarize everything so short, but had to get these fun events documented first(:

Baby turns one?!?

Once upon a time, we welcomed a tiny little 6lb.s baby boy into our family....

Now that little boy is ONE! That's right folks! Baby Paul turned one! (Ok, he turned one a few weeks ago, but I'm just finally getting around to posting.) Can you believe it?! It seems like just yesterday, that we were still kneeling as a family asking God to give us a little baby. Now look, he's a walking, talking (sort of), little boy!

He didn't start walking until about 2 weeks after his first birthday, but since then, he has taken off! It's so crazy how fast he's grown up. He loves to eat food, and can say 'nom-noms'. He absolutely LOVES attention, and knows how to butter people up by giving the cutest loves (he'll give them big hugs, and lay his head on their shoulders). He loves his family most, but warms up to strangers well if they have little treats or toys for him. Haha! Last but not least, he is my perfect little victim for photoshoots! I couldn't decide on just one or two to post of his 'one year photo shoots', so enjoy the VERY many!! (:

His every present little mohawk(:

Sometimes this is how we all feel(;

Our new found technique to get him to smile at the camera, BUBBLES! (:

Little mischief face(:

Definitely one of my favorites(:

We love you baby Paul and we are so happy you're in our family! (:
